Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 02, Verse 15
English:
Yam hi na vyathayantyete purusham purusharshabha
Samaduhkha sukham dheeram so’mritatwaaya kalpate
Sanskrit:
यम हि न व्यथयन्तेते पुरुषम पुरुषर्षभ
समदुःख सुखम धीरम सोमृतत्वाय कल्पते
Oriya:
ୟମ ହି ନ ବ୍ୟଥୟନ୍ତେତେ ପୁରୁଷମ ପୁରୁଷର୍ଷଭ
ସମହୁଃଖ ସୁଖମ ଧୀରମ ସୋମୃତତ୍ଵାୟ କଳ୍ପତେ
Selected word meaning:
yam - one who, hi - certainly, na - never, vyathayanti - to distress, ete - by these, purusham - to a person, purusha rsabha - O noblest among men, sama - unaltered, duhkha - distress, sukham - happiness, dheeram - patient, sah - he, amrtatvaya - for liberation, kalpate - eligible
Translation:
O noblest among men (Arjuna), the person of wise judgement who is not disturbed by happiness and distress is certainly eligible for liberation.
