Na hi kashchit kshanamapi - Selected Verses of Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 03, Verse 05

Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 03, Verse 05
English:
Na hi kashchit kshanamapi jaatu tishthatyakarmakrit
Kaaryate hyavashah karma sarvah prakritijair gunaih
Sanskrit: 
न हि कश्चित् क्षणमपि जातु तिष्ठत्यकर्मकृत्
कार्यते ह्यवश: कर्म सर्वः प्रकृतिजैर्गुणै: 
Oriya: 
ନ ହି କଶ୍ଚିତ କ୍ଷଣମପି ଜାତୁ ତିଷ୍ଠତ୍ୟକର୍ମକୃତ
କାର୍ଯତେ ହ୍ୟବଶଃ କର୍ମ ସର୍ବଃ ପ୍ରକୃତିଜୈର୍ଗୁଣେଇଃ

Selected word meaning:
na - never, hi - certainly, kashchit - anyone, kshanam - even a moment, api - also, jaatu - becomes, tisthati - stands (remains), akarma krit - without doing something, kaaryate - compelled to work, hi - certainly, avasah - helplessly, karma - work, sarvah - everything, prakriti jaih - born of material nature, gunaih - by the qualities

Translation:
One can never remain without performing action even for a moment, for everyone is compelled to act helplessly by the qualities  (Sattva, Rajas and Tamas) born of material nature.
