Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 02, Verse 23
English:
Nainam cchindanti shastraani nainam dahati paavakah
Na chainam kledayantyaapo na shoshayati maarutah
Sanskrit:
नैनम छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनम दहति पावकः
न चैनम क्लेदयन्तापो न शोषोयति मारूतः
Oriya:
ନୟିନଂ ଛିନ୍ଦନ୍ତି ଶସ୍ତ୍ରାଣୀ ନୟିନଂ ଦହତି ପାବକଃ
ନ ଚୟିନଂ କ୍ଲେଦୟନ୍ତାପୋ ନ ଶୋଷୟତି ମାରୁତଃ
Selected word meaning:
na - never, enam - this soul, cchindanti - cut to pieces, shastraani - weapons, dahati - burns, paavakah - fire, na - never, cha - also, enam - unto this soul, kledayanti - make wet, aapah - water, na - never, shosayati - dries, maarutah - wind
Translation:
Weapons cannot cut It (the soul), fire cannot burn It, water cannot wet It and wind cannot dry It up.
