Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 02, Verse 24
English:
Acchedyo’yam adaahyo’yam akledyo’shoshya eva cha
Nityah sarvagatah sthaanur achalo’yam sanaatanah
Sanskrit:
अच्छेद्यो अयम अदाहयो अयम अक्लेद्यो अशोष्यो एव च
नित्यः सर्वगतः स्थाणुर अचलो अयम सनातनहः
Oriya:
ଅଚ୍ଛେଦ୍ୟୋ ଅୟମ ଅଦାହ୍ୟୋ ଅୟମ ଅକ୍ଳେଦ୍ୟୋ ଅଶୋଷ୍ୟ ଏବ ଚ
ନିତ୍ୟହଃ ସର୍ବଗତଃ ସ୍ଥାଣୁର ଅଚଳୋ ଅୟମ ସନାତନହଃ
Selected word meaning:
acchedyah - unbreakable, ayam - this (the soul), adaahyah - incombustible, akledyah - insoluble, ashoshyah - cannot be dried up, eva - certainly, cha - and, nityah - eternal, sarva gatah - all pervading, sthanuh - unchangeable, achalah - immovable, ayam - this soul, sanaatanah - eternally the same
Translation:
This soul is indestructible, incombustible, insoluble, and cannot be dried up. It is eternal, all-pervading, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same.
