Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 02, Verse 62
English:
Dhyaayato vishayaan pumsah sangasteshupajaayate
Sangaat sanjaayate kaamah kaamaat krodho’bhijaayate
Sanskrit:
ध्यायतो विषयान् पुंसः संगस्तेषूपजायते
संगात् संजायते कामः कामात् क्रोधोभिजायते
Oriya:
ଧ୍ୟାୟୋତୋ ବିଷୟାନ୍ ପୁଂସହ ସଙ୍ଗସ୍ତେଷୂପଜାୟତେ
ସଙ୍ଗାତ୍ ସଞ୍ଜାୟତେ କାମଃ କାମାତ୍ କ୍ରୋଧଭିଜାୟତେ
Selected word meaning:
dhyaayatah - while contemplating, visayaan - sense objects, pumsah - a person, sangah - attachment, teshu - in the sense objects, upajayaate - develops, sangat - from attachment, sanjaayate - are born, kaamah - desire, kaamaat - from desire, krodhah - anger, abhijayate - becomes manifest
Translation:
When a man thinks of the sense objects, attachment to them arises, from attachment desires are born, from desire anger arises.
