Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 03, Verse 09
English:
Yajnyaarthaat karmano’nyatra loko’yam karmabandhanah
Tadartham karma kaunteya muktasangah samaachara
Sanskrit:
यज्ञार्थात् कर्मणोन्यत्र लोकोयं कर्मबांधनः
तदर्थम् कर्म कौन्तेय मुक्तसंगः समाचर
Oriya:
ଯଜ୍ଞାର୍ଥାତ୍ କର୍ମଣୋନ୍ୟତ୍ର ଲୋକୋୟମ୍ କର୍ମବନ୍ଧନଃ
ତଦର୍ଥମ୍ କର୍ମ କୌନ୍ତେୟ ମୁକ୍ତସଂଗଃ ସମାଚର
Selected word meaning:
yajnya arthaat - only for the sake of Yajnya (sacrifice to Supreme Lord, Vishnu), karmanah - work done, anyatra - otherwise, lokah - this world, ayam - this, karma bandhanah - bound by actions, tat - that, artham - for the sake (of sacrifice), karma - work, kaunteya - O son of Kunti, mukta sangah - free from attachment, samaachara - engage perfectly
Translation:
O Arjuna, this world is bound by actions other than those done for the sake of Yajnya (sacrifice to Supreme Lord, Vishnu). Therefore, engage perfectly in actions for that sake of sacrifice alone, free from attachment.
