Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 03, Verse 15
English:
Karma brahmodbhavam viddhi brahmaakshara samudbhavam
Tasmaat sarvagatam brahma nityam yajne pratishthitam
Sanskrit:
कर्म ब्रह्मोंद्भवम् विद्धि व्रह्माक्षर समुद्भवम्
तस्मात् सर्वगतम् ब्रह्म नित्यम् यज्ञे प्रतिष्ठितम्
Oriya:
କର୍ମ ବ୍ରମ୍ହୋଦ୍ଭବମ୍ ବିଦ୍ଧି ବ୍ରହ୍ମାକ୍ଷର ସମୁଦ୍ଭବମ୍
ତସ୍ମାତ୍ ସର୍ବଗତମ୍ ବ୍ରହ୍ମ ନିତ୍ୟମ୍ ଯଜ୍ଞେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତମ୍
Selected word meaning:
कर्म karma = action, ब्रह्म उद्भवं brahma udbhavam = originate from brahman (vedas), विद्धि viddhi = know, ब्रह्म अक्षर समुद्भवम् brahman akshara samudbhavam = vedas originate from the Imperishable Lord, तस्मात् tasmaat = therefore, सर्वगतं ब्रह्म sarvagatam brahma = the all pervading Lord, नित्यं nityam = always, यज्ञे yajnye = in sacrifice (to the Imperishablel Lord), प्रतिष्ठितम् pratisthitam = situated
Translation:
Know that action comes from Vedas and vedas originate from the Imperishable Lord. Therefore, the all pervading Lord is always situated in sacrifice (yajnya).
